Life has been hectic these past few weeks, as we were out of town for two weekends in a row and have had houseguests (my step-sister Jennifer who is also a knitter and her husband Jeff) since Thursday. When I have been home and not frantically doing laundry or cleaning house, I was working diligently on my Knit Sock Kit Swap kit for my partner Heather. This is the first time I have participated in any sort of swap, so I was more than a little nervous that she would get the kit and not think it was up to par. Well, she got it today and she loves it. Yeah!
I finally used the sewing machine Evan bought me for Christmas to make this bag. As soon as I finished it, I immediately wanted to make a million more.
One of the things that I did for the kit that I thought was the most fun was making shrinky dink stitch markers using pictures from her blog. Here’s a picture of them.
And here’s a picture of the whole kit that I sent.
All and all, it has been a fun swap so far and I look forward to a future package from my sock partner.
I promise to have another update soon, when I get a chance to catch my breath a bit. Hopefully my running program is giving me stronger lungs to do just that . 🙂
